Vietnam’s footwear exports fell by 6.7 percent to $8.1 billion in the first half of 2020, according to the ministry of industry and trade. The decline was due to a fall in exports in May and June in the wake of disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. In the first four month of the year, exports were up by 1.3 percent year-on-year.

During the semester, exports of other leather goods and accessories fell by 15.1 percent to more than $1.5 billion.
