A Kenneth Cole flagship has just opened in Bangkok in a redesigned format and the American brand is planning to enter additional markets in Asia, including Malaysia and Vietnam, which will have stores within the next six months. The designer has announced that the brand would be re-introduced in China with new partners within the same period. Kenneth Cole himself participated in the opening a mono-brand store in New Delhi last Nov. 15. Other stores will open in India, where the brand is marketed by Reliance Brands, and a dedicated e-commerce operation should go live in the country in the next three months. International markets still account for only 12 to 15 percent of Cole's sales, although the goal is to grow that to more than 30 percent in the coming years, he said.
