A shipowner and millionaire, Arne Blystad, has decided to inject several million Norwegian kroner into the Swims footwear company along with several other investment firms such as Syneco and NRP Corporate in Norway. This Norwegian manufacturer of galoshes and footwear protection items started in 2005. It distributes its products in 150 outlets around 14 different countries including Canada and the USA. It has drawn up a NOK 4 million (€500,000-$730,000) expansion plan, with three-quarters of the amount to be funded by Blystad through the Spencer Trading firm. The company sold 10,000 galoshes in the past year and generated NK 1.4 million (€172,000-$250,000) in turnover.
