A survey conducted by the organizers of GDS and Global Shoes in Dusseldorf in September showed that most attendees were pleased by the new hall and segment structure, easily finding their way to the price and quality segment they were looking for. Visitors cited the chance to get information on new trends and collections, placing orders, and maintenance of business contacts as the most important reasons they attended. With an average total budget of €947,700, 61 percent of buyers at the two shows placed orders. Since 47 percent of buyers went to the shows with the intention of placing orders, that means 14 percent placed their orders on the spot. The next exhibition is March 13-15, with 800 GDS exhibitors expected and 400 more for Global Shoes.
