Aeffe, the Italian fashion group behind Pollini and a host of other brands, reported a 20.3 percent increase in its total sales for the first quarter of this year, generating increases of 32 percent in Ebitda to €95.2 million and 39 percent in net income to €11.3 million. While apparel sales grew by 18.3 percent in constant currencies, sales of footwear and leathergoods jumped by 26.2 percent, reaching a level of €32 million. Across the group, sales declined only the U.S., due to the negative trend in the department store sector. They rose by 12.6 percent in Russia and by 67.8 percent in Greater China.
