Alexander Glockner will retire in July as country manager of Garant Schuh+Mode in Austria, after turning 64. He has received a special prize from Joseph Lorenz, chairman of the Austrian shoe industry association, for the 50 years that he has spent in the sector. Seventeen of them were spent for Garant, where he helped raise the number of Austrian retail members from 50 to more than 170. Glockner's successor has not yet been announced, but it is possible that he will also take care of Ariston-Nord-West-Ring in the country after its takeover of Garant.
