An ever-restless Mikael Thinghuus has bid a surprise farewell to ECCO, the Danish leader in comfort shoes, and will leave at the end of 2007 after four years as chief operating officer at the company. The reasons were said to be personal. Thinghuus worked alongside the company’s chief executive, Dieter Kasprzak, who will take on his functions in the New Year. Meanwhile, Flemming Nielsen, senior vice president of sales and retail operations, has been elected as a member to the 5-man executive board. Gerd Rahbek-Clemmensen has been promoted as senior vice president.
