Analpa, the big Russian/American shoe company behind brands such as Kéddo, Bétsy and Elisabeth, has signed a footwear licensing contract for the characters from “Masha and the Bear,” one of the most famous animated series broadcast in Russia and the rest of Eastern Europe. The contract covers initially Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, but may be extended to the rest of the world after the first season. After developing a test collection of styles in sizes from 19 to 32, co-branded with its own sports brand, Crosby, Analpa showed the line for the first time at last month's Euroshoes fair in Moscow. It triggered a positive reaction from the company's clients, including some that are based in Italy and Asia. A few years ago, Analpa offered some shoe models with characters from Disney and Marvel Enterprises for distribution in Eastern European markets.
