Anci is supporting “Napoli Shoes,” a project in which footwear companies in the area of Naples, in the south of Italy, are joining forces in a network to reinforce competitiveness. The project, which is also backed by local authorities, currently involves 15 companies, combining total revenues of €150 million and a workforce of 300 employees. The theme of the network was discussed at a recent round table in Naples. On the occasion, Giancarlo Senese, from Anci, illustrated the features of the “network contract”. Introduced in 2009, the contract provides small and medium-sized companies with a legal tool by which to combine forces and cooperate, in an effort to enhance their respective production and innovation capacities. The network contract turns in a way competitors into “allies,” while leaving them with full administrative, commercial and operational autonomy.
