Andreas Wortmann, the ECCO executive who was in charge of men’s and women’s footwear, takes charge also of children’s shoes following the departure of Tony Linford, who has moved back to the UK to act as global marketing director of Hi-Tec Sports. Wortmann will now have officials under him for the three different collections. Separately, Marcel Schmidt, marketing manager of ECCO’s German subsidiary, has been appaointed as Western European “marketing planner,” responsible also for Austria, the Benelux countries, France, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland the UK and reporting to Christian Bröe, group sales and marketing manager.
