Anthony Chaloub, who had been running the Chaloub Group together with his younger brother Patrick since 2011, died in Paris at the age of 63 after a long fight against cancer. He was praised for his honesty, his humility, his kindness and his humanitarian spirit. Founded in 1955 by his father Michel, the Chaloub Group is a major player in the fashion, beauty and gift sectors in the Middle East. It operates more than 600 retail stores and 11 e-commerce sites in 14 countries, working with more than 300 brands including Christian Dior, Christian Louboutin and Louis Vuitton. The group is a member of the United Nations Global Compact Community since 2014 and a signatory of the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEP).
