As we had predicted, Patrick Moniotte has been elected as the new chairman of the French Shoe Industry Federation, replacing the former co-chairmen, Charles Labelle and Danier Pasquier. Very open, fluent in English and a strong believer in technological innovation, Moniotte is the main shareholder, chairman and CEO of Barbier, the French company that markets the Hasley brand of comfort shoes. He worked previously at L’Oréal. Albert Zajtmann, general manager of Pallakids, has been elected as vice chairman, succeeding Jean Tonon who becomes secretary of the association.
