At the shareholders' general meeting on June 22, Quick Schuh announced a slight decrease of 0.4 percent to €169.4 million in total sales from all the 350 Quick Schuh stores in Germany and Austria. Sales in Germany accounted for €154.5 million. On average, a Quick Schuh store is 289 sqm and has annual sales of €490,000. Quick Schuh increased its sales from €10.9 million in 2012 to €11.4 million in 2013. Operating profits decreased from €364,000 to €138,000 in 2013, and it was decided that 50 percent of it will be distributed to the shareholders. Quick Schuh opened 12 new stores in 2013 and four additional stores in 2014. In the next five years, Quick Schuh plans to open about 75 new stores. The discount-oriented retail franchising operation run by the ANWR group, which recently went under new management, is setting up a new retail concept which shall be introduced for all Quick Schuh stores.
