Aventure Diffusion is starting to selling the Shrek 2 shoe range in the French mass market this Fall, following a distribution deal with Dreamworks, Steven Spielberg’s film company, which made the highly successful movie. No collection accompanied the first Shrek film. The company has also signed a licensing agreement with Dreamworks to distribute a footwear collection inspired by “Robots,” a Dreamworks film set to be released next March. The first collection will be for Spring/Summer 2005 and includes sandals and canvas models. The French company, which specializes in children’s character shoes, claims that it has a good business partnership with Dreamworks, after it distributed the Spirit shoe range, based on the “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron” children’s movie released in 2002. Aventure Diffusion holds eight other footwear licenses.
