Balenciaga's Triple S sneaker got the highest number of searches for shoe styles on Instagram through Lyst, which was used by 80 million shoppers in 120 countries so far this year for all kinds of fashion products. Balenciaga's ugly and chunky sneaker was followed in Lyst's ranking by the simpler and more affordable Disruptor sneaker by Fila, a brand that got 105 percent more searches than a year ago. The brand's total sales grew by more than 50 percent worldwide in the third quarter of this year (more on this in SGI Europe). Zara's white boots came next in Lyst's ranking, with a 39 percent rise year-on-year. They were followed by Nike's chunky M2K Tekno sneaker, Gucci's GG Blooms Supreme slides, Yves Saint Laurent's Opium pumps, Prada's Flame Heels (viewed more than 45,000 times in August), the Nike Air Vapormax, Balenciaga's very high platform crocs and the V10 sneaker of Veja, the French brand of sustainable sneakers, whose searches were up by 58 percent year-on-year. We don't carry pictures, but you can see them on www.lyst.com/year-in-fashion-2018. Among the brand logos, Supreme came in at number one across all categories, followed by Champion, Fila, Prada, Fendi, Gucci, Kappa, Versace, Louis Vuitton and Céline, which is losing the accent on the first e.
