BasicNet booked a 9.3 percent increase in aggregate sales, including those of its licensees, in the first three months of the year to €81.2 million, thanks to a sparkling performance by its footwear brand, Superga, and by K-Way, the brand of windbreakers that it recently took over. Superga’s sales soared by nearly 35 percent, largely thanks to progress in European and South African markets, while K-Way rose by 26 percent after the brand was repositioned upward in terms of its product range and its distribution network (more in Sporting Gods Intelligence Europe).
