Bianco Footwear, the trendy Danish chain of franchised shoe shops, is exploring expansion possibilities in other countries. Reports indicate that it wants to conquer Europe first, with 40 openings planned over the next year in such countries as England, Ireland and Holland. It has also set it sights on other continents such as North America and China within a 3-year timeline. The retail chain, which likes to see itself as the H&M for shoes, has 144 outlets in 8 countries, of which 28 were opened this year in Germany, Russia and Poland. Its turnover, said to be around 575 million Danish kroner (€77m-$115m), is set to double to 1 billion DK by 2010, and to increase tenfold to 10 billion DK by 2020..
