Major management changes are taking place at Kenneth Cole Productions, which has been going through a delicate re-positioning exercise. The company announced this week the resignation of Paul Blum as president to pursue other opportunities. He has been with the company for 15 years, acting as president since March 2002. Kenneth Cole himself will take over his duties temporarily. He will be assisted by Richard Olicker and Henrik Madsen Jensen, who had agreed to join the group only a few days earlier.
Olicker, who left recently as president of Steven Madden, is joining Kenneth Cole as president of its wholesale division and as executive vice president of the company, taking over the functions of Susan Hudson. Olicker co-founded Aerosoles in the USA and worked also for Candie’s before.
Madsen has been named as senior vice president and general manager of international operations at Kenneth Cole. He spent several years at French Connection as international development director before acting as chief executive and president of Kasper Europe, a subsidiary of Jones Apparel Group. He has also been brand director of the Miu Miu brand at Prada. Madsen replaces Ellen Rodriguez who has left the company.
