Britain's Focus Group opened a dedicated subsidiary to handle the Converse license for the U.K. at the end of 2007, but will close it down at the end of 2010, after the already reported non-renewal of its 10-year-old licensing deal for the brand. On the other hand, Focus is looking for new brands to represent on the British market, where it has already been the licensee and distributor of Ecko. It recently got a pan-European footwear license for Fenchurch and a license for all the categories of Ellesse products on the U.K. market, starting with spring 2011 deliveries (more in Sporting Goods Intellligence Europe).
