BusinessWeek and Interbrand, a consultancy brand, have rated Coca-Cola, Micosoft and IBM as the 3 top brands in their fourth annual ranking of The Top 100 Global Brands by dollar value. Nike ranks as the top sports brand at 31, Gap ranks as the top clothing brand at 38, Harley-Davidson comes in at 41, while Louis Vuitton comes in at 44. Gucci ranks 59, Chanel 64, Caterpillar 68, Adidas 69, Hermès 79, Armani 93 and Prada 95. Although American companies still dominate, holding 8 out of 10 of the top slots, with the exceptions of Nokia and Toyota, the overall number of American companies dropped from 64 to 58.
