Camper has set up its 6th European concept store at Foubert’s Place, in the Carnaby Street district of London. Like those in Rome, Florence, Berlin, Paris and San Francisco, it’s starting off with a bare “walking progress” décor that will be upgraded later on. The Spanish company has also opened its first Wabi store in Milan, carrying only this secondary line of environmentally friendly lounge footwear for the home, launched in 2000. The Wabi line will be a leitmotif of the “back to the roots” advertising campaign for Camper’s 30th anniversary this year, revolving around the countryside of its island of Mallorca. Meanwhile, the French fashion house of Agnès B. has begun to offer a couple of exclusive co- branded Camper models in its own stores.
