Chaussures de France, the French Shoe Industry federation, is planning to conduct an in-depth study of children’s footwear sizes, which need to be updated as children’s feet have evolved over the last few previous years. Thanks in part to the relative strength of the French children’s footwear industry, the MIDEC shoe show in Paris continues to develop into a major international showcase for children’s footwear. More than 100 brands of children’s shoes from all over Europe will be represented at the fair, which will be housed in a new hall of the Porte de Versailles fairgrounds on two levels next March 6-8. As always, the ambiance will be very creative. To stimulate consumption, the advertising shows shoes wrapped colorfully like bonbons. An Italian will be among the young designers hosted at the fair.
