Chéné Vincent, the bankrupt French company that trades under the Corine and Bleu C brands, has been taken over by another French firm, Chaussures Maurice, which markets the Kim and Gladys brands. Ashley had made a bid for the company. A bankruptcy court ordered Chéné Vincent’s liquidation, but a court of appeals reversed the ruling. The new owners have agreed to keep 40 workers in place. Chéné Vincent belonged to Plastigom, a French group that took over Accessoires a few years ago.
