Christian Dior is the latest target of Christian Louboutin, which is accusing the company of copying its signature red soles. Dior is rumored to be ready to launch a collection of red-soled shoes, and Christian Louboutin has asked for a court order to prevent it. Apparently the company hired a private investigator, who was told by a Dior clerk in New York City that the company was coming out with shoes with red soles and uppers. Christian Louboutin says that this undermines the company's market prominence and fame. It has also taken action against Carmen Steffens and Yves Saint Laurent. The latter has countersued, saying that the designer can't have a monopoly on a color.
