Christophe Mélard has been appointed by Gucci Group to be the new president and chief executive of Sergio Rossi, replacing Didier Bonnin who has left the company. The French manager has been working for the last four years at YSL Beauté, the perfume and cosmetics business of Yves Saint Laurent sold last year by L’Oréal to Gucci. He started off as chief financial officer and then became managing director of its subsidiary Roger & Gallet.
