Christophe Mélard has left the Kering group, where he has been acting as president and chief executive of Sergio Rossi since 2009. Marco Bizzarri, who run Kering's luxury goods division, is taking over his responsibilities on an interim basis. Separately, Kering has appointed a director of fashion and luxury intelligence, Lionel Vermeil, reporting to Louis Beveridge, senior vice president of communications. Vermeil has been communications director at Balenciaga since 2007. He previously worked for Jean Paul Gaultier.
