Clergerie, the French shoe brand founded in 1895, has partnered with Michelin on a new collection of shoes with an ergonomic sole. For the purposes of the new collection, Michelin developed a sole that is inspired by its Tweel tire, the airless tire that does not use a bladder filled with compressed air and therefore cannot leak pressure or burst, unlike conventional tires. Based on this concept, the sole is described as offering enhanced shock absorbing and stability. In addition, the sole is designed to follow the movement of the foot.
