Cleto Sagripanti, chief executive of Manas, is the new chairman of the Footwear ETP, the European technological platform for footwear. He replaces Martin Kopac at the head of this committee, which is designed to collect proposals for funding of technological development projects in the sector by the European Union under its 7th Framework Program. Kopac worked previously for Alpina but is now running his own technological development company, called UCS. Emanuele Carpanzaro of the ITIA-CNR institue in Milan continues as secretary general of Footwear ETP. Companies, research centers, trade associations and other stakeholders in the EU that are interested in cooperating within the framework of Footwear ETP should contact Carpanzaro.
