Collective Licensing International, based in Englewood, Colorado, has acquired Lifestyle Brands Ltd., the Toronto-based company of James Salter which owns many well-known action sports brands: Vision, Vision Street Wear, Vision Skateboards, Vision Snowboards, Premise, Lamar, LTD, Dukes, Rage, Ultra-Wheels and Skate Attack. Collective already owns the Airwalk and Genetic brands, which it has been licensing out to various companies in 92 countries around the world. Collective will now handle global licensing for Lifestyle Brands as well. It will also manage design, communication, marketing and overall strategy. Jamie Salter becomes co-chairman of Collective, sharing the spot with David Preiser of Sunrise Capital Partners, main financial backer of Collective. Bruce Pettet, former president of Airwalk, remains as chief executive of Collective.
