Colloseum, the Berlin-based company that took over the low-priced chain of Tack shoe stores in 2003, is selling 19 of the 45 units currently in operation because the leases are too high for the revenues that they generate. According to Schuhkurier, the German company has launched a new store concept, called Fashion Club, that blends clothing, footwear and accessories. A pilot store has been opened in the Spandau Arcaden of Berlin and another one will follow in the Centro shopping center of Oberhausen. Colloseum is already involved in fashion retailing with a chain called Forever 18.
