Converse has extended its licensing and distribution agreement in France with Royer Group, with whom it has worked since 2001. The new deal runs through 2015. Financial details were not disclosed. It is reported that Converse is looking to have an office in Paris that would handle marketing, communication and merchandising. Converse is working to expand in Europe and globally, and to open stores with a new format. So far, the new format has appeared in one store in Berlin, two in Turkey, two in Lebanon and one in Jordan. The company has taken out ads seeking European representatives, including communications director and European director of retail, to work out of its Netherlands office.
