Legero United, the Austrian-based footwear group that markets brands such as Legero, Superfit, Vios and Think, has opened its biggest store at its headquarters in Feldkirchen, Graz. The company opened the Legero United Campus at the beginning of this year, investing about €30 million. About 350 employees have moved into one building, with another being devoted to a new store of 1,200 square meters. This “Shoemakers Outlet” offers the collections of Legero United’s shoe brands as well as a shop-in-shop for the Lloyd shoe brand and selected partners, such as Puma. Legero was created in 1872 by the Stolitzka family, who are still the majority shareholders. Ara, owner of the Lloyd shoe brand, holds a 49.9 percent share in Legero. The company has 1,300 employees and its own production sites in Hungary, Romania and India. Legero says it recorded total sales of €190 million in 2018 and sold about six million pairs of shoes. It operates five outlet stores as well as online stores for all of its brands. The 25 mono-brand stores of Think are managed on a franchise basis.
