The Dutch footwear company Unlimited Footwear Group (UFG), best known for its Bullboxer brand, has taken over the men’s footwear brand Braend, which was founded in 2001 by Jasper van der Velden. The two companies are based in the Dutch footwear cluster of Waalwijk.
Van der Velden will remain as managing director and will be in charge of Braend’s collections. The collaboration will ensure that future collections ”remain true to the typical Braend look and feel,” UFG said.
UFG will leverage its international distribution network in more than 52 countries to expand the label. It will be fully in charge of the design, sourcing, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of Braend from the upcoming autumn/winter collection.
