Cravatex Brands (CBL) will be taking charge of operations in India for Vans, the skate-shoe brand owned by VF Corp. The plan is to expand Vans' distribution in the region by expanding its retail network there to 50 stores over the next five years. That period should also see brand-building investments as well as the establishment of partnerships with online and offline wholesale retailers. CBL is part of the Batra Group, an Indian multinational founded in 1949, with operations in Europe, the U.K., the Middle East, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Africa and its home country. It is headquartered in Mumbai and London. CBL's brand portfolio includes Fila, Matrix, Stages, Les Mills, Ziva and Proline Fitness.
