A new platform, called the Sustainable Future Foundation (SFF), has been launched to drive economic development in the U.K., U.S., and EU in the new world shaped by the Covid-19 pandemic. The SFF will be advocating and supporting exemplary sustainable practices across the finance, technology, fashion and retail sectors. The platform will include scientific advisors in virology, epidemiology, public health and disaster response, who can provide up-to-date advice on coronavirus-related issues. Speaking at the online launch of the initiative on May 14, the SFF’s co-founder and international fashion entrepreneur, Masha Hanson, highlighted the need for significant change in the existing social and economic paradigms. Asia Tumasian, SFF’s co-founder and digital transformation expert, stressed the urgent need for smarter, stronger and more diverse supply chains as another lesson of the crisis, and the rationale behind the launch of the foundation.
