Aquafil and Genomatica have been collaborating to produce pilot-scale quantities of plant-based nylon-6 and have announced that they have now successfully completed the first demonstration-scale production runs. This will help determine the final design of future commercial plants and constitutes a step closer to the commercialization of the material.
