Deichmann has again provided awards of €100,000 for ten projects dedicated to the integration of disadvantaged young people through education and employment. First awarded in 2005, the Deichmann Award this year went mostly for projects aimed at integrating young refugees. The Deichmann Award is split into several categories. The first prize in the category “Occupational Promotion by Companies” went this year to the Hoffmann Group, a corporate foundation from Munich that supports the development of disadvantaged and traumatized children and adolescents. Other winners included Morus 14 from Berlin in the category “Vocational support through associations, public initiatives and church organizations.”
