Deichmann is publicly supporting the German consumer protection foundation and its key issue, consumer protection for refugees. The German shoe retail chain is donating a total of €40,000 for two of the foundation's projects. First is “WebiTipp,” a combination of a website and social media channels in both German and Arabic to advise refugees on such topics as credit cards, mobile phone contracts, streaming services, debt collection and apartment services. The second project provides employees of a German workers' welfare federal association with training on consumer protection for refugees. Deichmann will be donating €20,000 for 2019 and €20,000 for 2020.
