Dielmann, a German retailer with 49 footwear and sporting goods stores operating under banners such as Schuhhaus Dielmann and Sporthaus Robert Hübner, has appointed a retail expert, Manuel Farrokh, as its new executive manager, responsible for project and risk management. In his new role, he will work closely with the current joint managing directors, Thomas and Markus Dielmann. His main task will be to make the company fit to withstand changing market conditions. Dielmann has endured a difficult time during the past year and a half. Its operations have not developed as expected due to a difficult market and the competition from online players, which have led to a reduction in the number of customers. Dielmann believes that Farrokh has the expertise and the strategic and analytical skills to lead a team of specialists to optimize its structures quickly. Farrokh previously held executive positions at Van Laack, Marc Cain, Biba, Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf and Sinnleffers. He has worked on various projects to reorganize and restructure businesses and improve sales.
