Donald Pliner, the well-known American designer of men’s and women’s shoes, will present his first collection of children’s shoes under his own name at the WSA show in Las Vegas next month. Based on a licensing agreement for the U.S. market, the line will be developed and manufactured or sourced by Falc, the big Italian children’s footwear specialist that owns the Naturino brand and licenses those of Moschino and Kenzo. Pliner, who is also the importer of Robert Clergerie in the USA, works a lot with Italian shoe companies for his own collections. Reportedly, he recently adopted a child from Kazakhstan.
