DSW and Zappos.com have settled a lawsuit that the American footwear retailer filed last year against the world’s largest online store for shoes. In the suit, DSW said that in some online marketing, Zappos infringed on its service marks, using them in several web addresses, as well as photos of DSW stores, making customers think they were at a DSW-affiliated website before being redirected to Zappos.com. Zappos asked that the suit be dismissed because the complaint did not say that Zappos owned the websites in question. The terms of the settlement were not released.
