DSW’s revenues top expectations

The American shoe retailer's sales in the quarter ended July 28 increased by 7.5 percent to $512.2 million compared with the previous year period. On a same-store basis, they rose by 4.2 percent, after an increase of 12.3 percent in the second quarter of 2011.
