Assocalzaturifici has launched BDroppy, a new multichannel platform to help its member companies sell online all over the world by reaching thousands of dropshippers. The project is a ”strategic partnership” between the Italian footwear manufacturers association and Branddistribution. BDroppy will enable Italian footwear companies to sell their products online to over 450,000 retailers and digital vendors worldwide, hoping that this initiative will alleviate the impact of the coronavirus crisis on the industry. The measures that have been taken in most countries to fight the pandemic have led to the temporary but possibly long-standing closing of footwear and clothing stores around the world.

The initiative ”represents a concrete opportunity for many of our member companies that produce high-quality goods but do not have the necessary resources themselves to emerge in the world of e-commerce,” said Assocalzaturifici chairman Siro Badon. Branddistribution, founded in 2006, is a B2B platform for online sales of branded clothing and fashion accessories, delivering in more than 170 countries.
