During the last year, Pajar Canada increased the number of countries where its products are sold to 55 in total. New markets for the company are the U.K., Hungary, Turkey and Spain. In the U.K., the distributor Courtaulds has been handling Pajar Canada's line for two seasons now. Likewise, Overland has been its distributor in Hungary for two seasons. Ves Deri will be taking care of the distribution in Turkey from fall/winter 2012 onward, and Pajar Canada is about to sign a similar distribution agreement for Spain. The company aims to enter the Chinese market, too, and is at the moment in discussions for a distribution contract. The company recorded a successful business year 2011, with a 20-25 percent increase in sales to $60 million. The volume of shoes sold in 2011 reached almost 1 million pairs. Domestic sales and sales in the U.S. each account for 30 percent of total sales, with the other 40 percent going to export sales. Pajar Canada is expanding in Europe steadily, especially in Italy with over 100 existing accounts. At this year's Bread & Butter show, the Canadian company launched its new collections of knitwear and accessories.
