Eduardo Smaniotto, who has been export manager of Dumond for five years, has left the Paquetà group to work for Priority, another Brazilian group that owns the West Coast and Cravo & Canela brands. With 18 years of experience in the shoe sector, he has joined Priority to supervise sales and marketing of Cravo & Canela, the Brazilian women's footwear brand acquired by the group in 2005. John Schmidt, who used to work with Smaniotto at Dumond, remains in charge of exports for both brands. The strong development of Cravo & Canela, which seems to have reached maturity and found its niche in the market, helped the Priority group achieve a 44 percent sales increase in the first quarter of 2011. An increase of 35 percent is targeted for the full year.
