EMU Australia, the big challenger of UGG in the area of sheepskin boots, has set up a subsidiary in Hamburg. Called EMU Ridge Europe, it will handle sales and marketing of the company’s products in the UK and throughout Continental Europe with the exception of Spain and Italy, which are covered by Ferrari & Zanobi and Solan Co S, respectively. TDG is no longer responsible for the German market. The new subsidiary is run by Kerstin Pakter, who has been working as the Australian company’s European brand manager and head of sales since last January, after working for several firms in the young fashion sector.
