Europarliament Clears Origin Labeling For Shoes
By a large majority, the European Parliament approved last Thursday a proposal to introduce mandatory origin labeling in the European Union for some products, including footwear, manufactured outside the union. Goods produced within the EU, Turkey, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein would be exempt.
