ANWR Schuh has appointed Klaus Pommering as product manager for women’s shoes. He will be reporting directly to Albert Mayer, head of purchasing and product management. Pommering, 53, was previously purchasing manager for women’s shoes at the Leiser Group, the German shoe retailer with about 40 stores that filed for insolvency in 2017. The new addition to ANWR’s management comes after ANWR Schuh appointed Tobias Eichmeier as joint chief executive on May 1. Eichmeier is now leading the German buying group of shoe retailers together with Heike Discher. Fritz Terbuyken, former chief executive of ANWR Schuh, stepped down on April 30 and from now on will be responsible for the group’s shoe division in Europe. He will act as the contact person for the group’s subsidiaries outside Germany and take care of its international key accounts. Terbuyken continues to support the management of ANWR Schuh in a consulting position. Terbuyken continues to be a member of the ANWR Group’s executive board, responsible for the shoe division of the company.
