Birkenstock has appointed Nico Bouyakhf as managing director for Europe replacing Michael Schmitz, who left the company for an unspecified destination.
Bouyakhf will report to Oliver Reichert, who is now Birkenstock’s sole CEO after Markus Bensberg stepped down as co-CEO.
Bouyakhf joins the company from Nike, where he was general manager for the Sportswear business in central EMEA. Prior to that, he worked for Converse and Zalando.
