The American lifestyle brand and retailer Cole Haan has hired Stephen Henderson as chief digital officer. He joins the company from Caleres, where he was senior vice president of marketing and e-commerce.

In the last year, Cole Haan has rolled out 26 localized sites across international markets with continued growth slated for the next fiscal year. Henderson will be in charge of all sites operated by international distributors, as well as Cole Haan’s digital activities in the U.S., Japan and Canada.

Henderson spent seven years at Caleres. Most recently, he was responsible for overseeing consumer-direct e-commerce, as well as brand, creative, wholesale and consumer marketing for a large portfolio of footwear brands. He also worked for Payless ShoeSource as director of e-commerce from December 2006 to November 2011.
